Let's head out to southeastern Montana for a couple days of photos. Here's a postcard photo of an old Forsyth hostelry called Ralph's Cabins ... a shot from maybe 60 years ago. Looks like a welcoming and homey place, that at least in some ways would beat the heck out of a Super 8.
How did I miss this one? Yes, completely 60 years ago...especially neat, straight, uniform doors in a precise row that is probably square to the north and south. And the sheets were ironed. :)
Heh ... you're probably right about those sheets! I wonder if anyone still irons bedsheets anymore? :)
The thing I like most about that photo is the ivy around each of the doors ... that's extremely cool, I think, and I'm sure there's not a chain motel in the world that has that.
